So like apparently I can’t stay with my family for supanova because they might be too far out. And.. I can’t afford a hostel now. So..
Anyone willing to put me up for a few nights? Preferably someone already going and someone going early…
Otherwise.. I sort of can’t go. If no one replies I will assume they can’t have me over, don’t want me over, not going etc and…I am not sure what I will do…
I wish I’d been told I couldn’t stay with my family earlier..
I wish I could help, maybe one of my followers can …
As Sherlock series 3 begins filming, please be considerate and do not tweet or reblog filming location details.
Dear tumblr user chiimisty,
I came across your blog and noticed that you only repost things that others made.
This would be kind of okay (even though it’s really not that hard to just reblog those things from the original source), if you would have credited the original makers. Right now you are taking their graphics and drawings and making them yours, throwing away the hard work they put in like it’s nothing.
You have no ask box (not sure if you did this on purpose or not) so there was no other way for me to reach you than making a public post and tagging you, but please, listen: at least credit other people’s artworks. It’s not that difficult, and I think it’s the fair thing to do. Don’t you?
Signal boosting this, because things like this are really fucking annoying and infuriating.
There’s tons of reposted art on this blog some by lesser known artists who might actually really depend on the exposure and credit that is not given this way.
Ignoring the fact that reposting is also just really fucking rude and assholish
Sherlock - Transformative Works Policy List
This is a lovely idea! So let me add my own entry:
If you want to use my work to create podfics, art, or translations go forth and do! Please simply link back to my original story and don’t edit my work. Also, please don’t gather my stories into an e-book—I’m doing that myself. Thank you!
While there is a blanket permission to podfic list, I want to try and use the power of tumblr to get a bit of a signal boost and get more Sherlock author’s policy on their works being used for podfics and other fanworks!
If you are an author, and you have any policy about your work being used in transformative works (usually podfics), then reblog with your policy and I will add it to the main post. I’d say being included on this list with a blanket yes increases your chance of a podficcer selecting your work to podfic! Similarly if you are NOT ok with your work being podficced, being on this list (`No I do not wish my works to be podficced`) will avoid podficcers asking for permission. “Ask me” Is also a totally valid policy. Akamine-chan has an excellent in depth post about policy statements.
If you are a podficcer, feel free to use this list to find podfic friendly authors. If you are asking an author to permission, why not ask them how they feel about their other works being used as well? If they answer reblog with their policy to let me know
Readers, you can signal boost this to try and reach as many authors as possible! If there is a Sherlock author on the fanlore page (which I probably am not familiar with) let me know and I can add it to this list!
I will update the fanlore page with author’s policies, but this is for convenience of finding podfic friendly Sherlock authors.
tl:dr: Ok with people podficcing your work? Reblog and say yes, no, or ask me is your policy!
Sherlock Fandom Transformative Works Policy List
Not sure anyone’s even interested, but on the off chance it strikes someone’s fancy, podficcing my work is fine! Just send me a link to the podfic, cause I’d love to hear it!
They have changed their url, it’s stil survival-of-thefittest they have just switched things around.
I just wanted to make a general reminder out there that the blog survival-ofthe-fittest is a REPOSTER. Everything they ever posted is someones else’s hard work. They obviously don’t care they are stealing others gifs and what sucks is these gifs get THOUSANDS of notes, the ask is turned off and there’s no way to tell this girl/guy to stop! Check the source before you reblog and if you noticed you reblogged this reposter just delete it off your blog and inform everyone that the gif is reposted, better yet try finding the real source and reblogging that!
I can’t tell you how many awesome gif/graphic makers are getting their hard work stolen by someone who couldn’t give a shit. Just be aware and don’t reblog from this reposter.
So they are once again STILL reposting other people’s hard work. Going to the lengths of switching their url and starting a new blog probably since the number of notes have gone down since people are now aware of their bullshit. Please don’t let their new blog fester. And take heed.
